Nicole Richie has learned from Paris Hilton's reality that she doesn't want to go to jail.
The super-skinny starlet, who is reportedly pregnant, is desperate to avoid serving time like her BFF.
Nicole's trial date has been scheduled for July 11, which will then determine whether the star is going to be sentenced for up to one year behind bars.
Los Angeles District Attorney spokeswoman, Jane Robison, confirmed, "Commissioner Steven Lubell did not want any more delays. The trial is now set for July 11. It must happen within 10 days of that date or Richie must enter a plea."
Nicole was arrested after being caught driving the wrong way down a Los Angeles freeway. Police suspected that she had smoked marijuana and taken vicodin before getting behind the wheel. At the time, in December 2006, Nicole's weight was at a scary low of 83 pounds.
"The Simple Life" star's rumored pregnancy has not been denied. Skeptics believe that she is using the possible baby to avoid a prison sentence.
