Eddie Murphy reportedly doesn't visit his daughter because he wants to stay away from "crazy" Mel B. The "Shrek" star, who fathered 22-month-old Angel Iris with the former Spice Girl, is keen to avoid a confrontation with his ex-girlfriend Mel.

A friend of Eddie's told America's OK! magazine: "To see the kid, he'd have to see the mother. Maybe when she's older, Eddie will see Angel, but not now."

Tracey Edmonds reportedly split from Eddie Murphy because of his "controlling Jekyll and Hyde-like character."

Despite reports the couple's relationship broke down because Edmonds refused to sign a prenuptial agreement, an insider claims the film producer called things off after Murphy became physically intimidating towards her.

Although not legally binding as only residents can get married there, Murphy tied the knots with Edmonds on New Year's Day on a private island near Bora Bora in French Polynesia. They announced their plan on having another wedding upon their return to the U.S. to make it official. However, it looks like they're not going to make it anymore.
