Nicole Kidman wept with joy as she tied the knot with Keith Urban on Saturday (24.06.06).
The country singer - who serenaded by bride-to-be at the altar - also broke down in tears as the pair tied the knot in a cliff-top church overlooking Sydney on Saturday (24.06.06).
The couple exchanged vows just after sundown in a romantic candle-lit ceremony in front of their families and friends, including Hollywood stars Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe and Naomi Watts.
Nicole looked stunning in a white Balenciaga dress and delicate pearl jewelry. Urban wore black, with accessories matching Nicole's white bouquet.
A guest told People magazine, "Nicole cried all the way to the church in the car and then she cried all during the ceremony and had to wipe her eyes under the veil. It was the most emotional and beautiful ceremony."
After their big day, the pair released a wedding photograph and a statement saying, "We just want to thank everyone in Australia and around the world who have sent us their warm wishes."
Nicole and Urban are thought to have spent their first night as husband and wife in their Sydney apartment before going on their honeymoon, which is expected to be in Bora Bora or Fiji.
