Sophisticated, Australian actress Nicole Kidman has made a public statement against terrorism. She has joined other Hollywood forces to speak out about its destructive path.
According to www.news.com.au Kidman was joined by 84 big Hollywood names in her stand against terrorism. The list included directors, studio bosses and other media businessmen such as Michael Douglas, Bruce Willis, Tony Scott, and Sam Raimi.
A strongly worded full-page advertisement was taken out in the Los Angeles Times newspaper. The ad specifically targets "terrorist organizations" like Hezbollah in Lebanon and Hamas in Palestine.
It reads, "We the undersigned are pained and devastated by the civilian casualties in Israel and Lebanon caused by terrorist actions initiated by terrorist organisations such as Hezbollah and Hamas. If we do not succeed in stopping terrorism around the world, chaos will rule and innocent people will continue to die. We need to support democratic societies and stop terrorism at all costs."
