Former Nickelodeon star Jamie Lynn Spears caused controversy back when the news first leaked that she was pregnant. The network cancelled Jamie Lynn's show, "Zoey 101," after the news of her pregnancy leaked.
The 17-year-old gave birth to a baby girl this morning, and Nickelodeon wants Jamie Lynn to know there are no hard feelings.
"We wish her and her family well," a Nickelodeon rep told E! News.
One of Jamie Lynn's "Zoey" co-stars even thinks the kid sister of Britney Spears will be a great mom.
"I know she's going to be a great mom. She's always been really great with kids, from what I've observed," said Erin Sanders, who is 17 herself. "Jamie Lynn is a wonderful girl. I'm really excited for her. I know she's going to have a wonderful time."
Jamie Lynn gave birth to daughter Maddie Briann at around 9:30 a.m. this morning. Her fiancé Casey Aldridge, big sister Britney, as well as several other family members, were with her through the experience at the Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center.
As for whether or not she thinks Jamie Lynn will return to TV, Sanders said, "I think she knows the importance of having a new child and being around. She'll be able to weigh out what will be right."
"I think she will, the question is just when."
