Nick Nolte has become a father for the second time at the age of 66. The troubled actor - who was charged for DUI in September 2002, and subsequently checked into Connecticut's Silver Hill rehabilitation center - welcomed the baby girl with his partner Clytie Lane in Los Angeles last Wednesday.

A representative for Nick said: "The baby girl, who has yet to be named, weighed 7lbs and 13oz at birth. Both mother and daughter are doing well."

Johnny Depp is to reprise his role as eccentric late journalist Hunter S. Thompson in a new movie.

Depp starred as close friend Thompson in the movie of his first novel 'Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas' in 1998. In 2000, independent production company Shooting Gallery - which has since shut-down - and SPi Films bought the rights to his autobiographical novel 'The Rum Diary', and the same year announced plans to make the movie with Depp and Nick Nolte starring.

Nick Nolte collapsed at a Hawaiian Airport on Monday night. The 'Cape Fear' star stunned travelers at Kauai Airport when he passed out on the terminal floor after their flight was delayed due to engine problems.

A witness told gossip website TMZ.com: "He was suddenly flat out on the floor. He drifted in and out for about two hours."
