Nick Lachey has split from Vanessa Minnillo. The former "Newlyweds" star and the MTV presenter - who began dating in 2006 - have decided to end their relationship but insist they are still on good terms.

Vanessa's representative said: "They have amicably split but remain good friends who still greatly care for one another."

Jessica Simpson is to make a return to reality TV. The "With You" singer - who starred in MTV's "Newlyweds" with ex-husband Nick Lachey - will travel the world with a friend to find out what is deemed beautiful for new show "The Price of Beauty."

Jessica's representative said: "Jessica is indeed working on a new show, but network details have not been finalized at this time."

Jessica Simpson doesn't regret marrying Nick Lachey. The "With You" singer - who divorced Nick in 2005, after three years of marriage - is glad she was married, even though she hasn't spoken to her former husband "in years."

The 28-year-old singer also defended her decision to star in MTV reality show "Newlyweds," insisting the program didn't destroy her relationship.

Jessica Simpson reportedly enjoyed an intimate lunch with ex-boyfriend John Mayer. The singer-and-actress, who is currently dating American football star Tony Romo, secretly met John for a meal in Calabasas, California, recently and onlookers claimed they couldn't contain their joy at seeing each other.

One source told X17Online: "They were keen not to be seen together but they looked so happy to be in each other's company. It looked to me like they were more than just good friends!"
