It seems that football fans will not be enticed by the "train wreck" that is Britney Spears.

The pop star, who has endorsed products such as Pepsi and Sketchers back when she was famous for singing and not for her exposed crotch, has been turned down by the NFL to appear in promotional commercials.

Spears, whose career is dying slowly as each day passes, was reportedly rejected by the NFL because of her questionable image, which has become too damaged to even encourage crazed football fans.

Instead, Paris Hilton will be the only blonde, commando-loving star to appear in the commercials.

A source told the Daily News newspaper, "She's too much of a train wreck. Besides, we already have Paris Hilton."

Apparently the day has come when the Hilton Hotel heiress is a more reliable choice over a "career" woman.

The insider adds that Spears attempted fashion fad of going pantyless in public made the NFL - and most humans - nervous. The decision follows backlash from "nipplegate," the infamous half-time Super Bowl incident when Janet Jackson's costume fell apart and revealed a little too much.

Spears has had a terrible start to 2007, the year which was initially marked to be her comeback to music superstardom. The "Toxic" singer has been labeled an "idiot" by one Hollywood heavyweight and laughed at by former mentor Madonna.

The single mother of two began her year by falling asleep at a Las Vegas nightclub and then last week vomited over her new boyfriend.
