Listening to some of Nelly's tracks on her new album like "Promiscuous" or "Maneater," you would never think the singer gathered some insight and inspiration from one of Ireland's best-selling new age artists.
Nelly Furtado and producer Timbaland may be making big hits but the pair admit that bits and pieces of their musical collaboration was actually inspired by Enya.
When Timbaland signed Nelly to his record label, he wanted the brunette singer to try out some new sounds and experiment different vocal techniques. The pair then started listening to Enya's harmonizing music for tips.
Believe it or not, Nelly says the Irish singer was the source of inspiration for the sounds on her new album, "Loose."
According to StarPulse.com, she said, "Timbaland and I listened to her a lot in the studio. Some of the vocals on my new album try and mimic her rich and beautiful vocals. I think many artists try and emulate her sounds and are inspired by her in a quiet way."
