Robbie Williams may be forced to cancel a 160,000 capacity concert in Germany - in case he disturbs bats.
The heartthrob singer is due to perform in a field near Cologne this August, but scientists fear it could affect the rare Daubenton's and Pipistrelle bats living in surrounding woods.
They are now conducting a study to see if they can protect the nocturnal animals from the noise.
Show organizers, Concert Team, will have to pay for the research.
Spokesperson Annette Roettgen said: "It is still cheaper then paying damages later. We will do everything we are asked for, so that the animals will survive the Robbie concerts."
