Supermodel Naomi Campbell is scheduled to appear in a New York court on Wednesday to face charges of assault after her maid accused her of allegedly throwing a cell phone at her early this year.

David Breibart, counsel for Campbell tells AFP the model will be attending Wednesday's hearing and said there would be no repeat of her last scheduled court appearance in September, where she failed to show up.

Truthfully speaking, Naomi Campbell has recently become a joke, and we all wish we could smack her upside the head and tell her to just straighten up already.

Following a string of accusations, the supermodel was recently accused of assaulting yet another housekeeper who says the catwalk diva punched and insulted her on numerous occasions. Best part of it all is that these new accusations are brought forth a day before Naomi is due in court to face similar charges filed against her by another employee.

Although it's quite puzzling to think they would let her off the hook so easily, Naomi Campbell was recently released without being charged after spending 12 hours in a jail cell over assault allegations.

The supermodel - who was arrested on Wednesday for allegedly scratching her drug counselor's face - was found "unfit to face questioning" and has since her release been allowed to travel to Paris. Go figure.

Naomi Campbell was released on a bail early Thursday after allegedly being involved in an altercation with her drugs counselor the day before. According to London's Metropolitan Police the officers were called to an address in central London Wednesday afternoon, where they arrested a 36-year-old woman. She was released on bail at 1:00 am Thursday, the police said without naming Campbell.

A spokesman for the catwalk star said late Wednesday that he believed there had been a "misunderstanding", adding that a police investigation will sort out the issue.

It just keeps getting better and better with Naomi Campbell. With all her repeated offenses, the loony supermodel might as well give up her high heels and red lipstick and make a jail cell her permanent home.
