British supermodel Naomi Campbell was released from Sirio Libanes Hospital on Friday after recovering from an abdominal surgery.
Campbell was admitted to the Brazilian hospital on February 25 for an emergency surgery.
"She recovered very well from her surgery," was the official statement from the spokeswoman of Sirio Libanes Hospital, Mirtes Bogea. "Doctors signed her release and she left in the afternoon in a helicopter that someone sent to pick her up," added Bogea who declined to give out more details about Campbell's condition.
The supermodel's publicist, Jeff Raymond announced on Tuesday that she has been hospitalized to "have a small cyst removed."
Dr. Jose Aristodemo Pinotti, a gynecologist, said that Campbell underwent abdominal surgery but refused to give details on how serious her condition was. He described the procedure as a laparoscopy - a method by which the doctor uses a thin, lighted scope to view internal organs.
