Nicola Roberts is going back to school. The Girls Aloud singer is using the group's current hiatus to enroll in a college course to boost her beauty knowledge to give her more technical expertise when working on her Dainty Doll make-up range.

A source told Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper: "Nicola is serious about her beauty range and doesn't want to put her name to anything she's not 100 percent sure of."

Nadine Coyle weighs her food before eating it. The Girls Aloud singer - who is famed for her svelte figure - stunned diners at exclusive London restaurant The Ivy when she pulled out a pair of scales to see how much of her plain fish she could eat and then had the rest taken away by a waiter.

An onlooker told Britain's The Sun newspaper: "It was the oddest thing I've ever seen. I couldn't believe it when she just whipped out the mini-scales and put them in the middle of the table to weigh bits of her fish."

Nadine Coyle doesn't want to move in with her boyfriend - because she loves living with her parents. The Girls Aloud beauty, who has been dating American football star Jason Bell since last September, is very happy staying at her family's home in Los Angeles because they spoil her rotten.

She said: "It's too soon to move in with Jason. I'm so happy being back with my mommy and daddy when I'm in Los Angeles. I haven't done that since I was 16 and I'm getting so spoiled. My mommy does all my washing and cooking and puts lavender oil on my pillow to help me sleep. I'm so pampered."

Sarah Harding is planning a secret $2 million wedding to her DJ boyfriend. The Girls Aloud singer was delighted when Tom Crane proposed after two years together but is so determined to keep her big day an intimate affair she has yet to announce their engagement.

A source said: "She's so excited - she can't wait to be Mrs. Crane."

Bono has joked he wants to join Girls Aloud. The U2 singer is keen to become a member of the British band after seeing them perform at the BRIT Awards last night.

Bono said: "I want to be in Girls Aloud. But seriously, I think they are at the cutting edge of pop music. They are a great band and they deserve to be center stage. They have everything a pop band should have - songs, the look, it's all there."

Cheryl Cole wants to launch a solo career. The Girls Aloud - who recently worked without bandmates Kimberley Walsh, Nicola Roberts, Sarah Harding and Nadine Coyle on U.K. TV talent show "The X Factor" - star is keen to make a record on her own, but will only do it with the permission of the rest of the group.

When asked if the other members were worried she would quit the band to go solo, she said: "That's a horrible thing to think."
