Eddie Murphy's ex wife has commented on his possible love child with Scary Spice.
Nicole Mitchell, who was married to the comedian for 13 years, believes claims by Mel B that she is pregnant with Murphy's child to be a "very strange situation."
The singer and actor enjoyed a brief romance after Murphy split from the mother of his five children in 2006. They had not officially announced the end of their romance when the former Spice Girl revealed she was pregnant.
Mitchell added, "If it is Eddie's it's going to be beautiful."
The "Dreamgirls" star, who is enjoying a career resurgence thanks to the musical, is now dating the film's producer Tracey Edmonds.
A very diplomatic Mitchell said, "I wish them both love. They look great together."
Murphy has requested a paternity test to take place once Mel B's baby is born.
