Lindsay Lohan's mother has had her time talking to the press while her daughter is in rehab, and now it is her fathers turn.

Michael Lohan, who is currently serving time in jail for assault, is no stranger to writing the star letters and giving them to the trusty hands of the media. Since his daughter began rehab, he has taken out his pen again.

The "Bobby" star's father wrote the actress a letter, published by In Touch Weekly magazine, congratulating her for taking control of her life.

The other Lohan writes, "I'm so proud of you in that you are taking back control of your life and putting it back on track like God wants. Now it's time to "clean house," in every sense of the word, and start anew...This is your chance my love, start from the beginning. Fill yourself with the kind of love and good, God wants you to have and you'll be blessed more than ever."

Dina Lohan, the redheaded star's manager and mother, has also expressed her pride that her 20-year-old daughter is in rehab.

Lohan, who is part of an out-patient program, which allows her to shop at Dior and continue filming her role in "I Know Who Killed Me" in which she plays a stripper, had been attending AA meetings before taking the step to seek treatment for her problems.

The star is currently spending her nights at the Wonderland Treatment facility in Los Angeles.
