Mischa Barton will be having a quieter New Years Eve than originally planned.
The 21-year-old actress was arrested with a DUI charge in Hollywood and found to be under the influence of alcohol and marijuana. Now, like Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie before her, Mischa has had to abdicate from her partying responsibilities.
The former "The O.C" actress was booked to host the pre-NYE party at CatHouse Grand Opening nightclub in Las Vegas but sat this one out.
After the news broke of the DUI, the CatHouse released a statement saying, "We are aware of Mischa Barton's incident last night, but at present she is still expected to host the CatHouse Grand Opening at Luxor Las Vegas on December 29th. We will let you know if anything changes."
The actress was absent from the red carpet, which included stars such as Tommy Lee and Adrian Brody.
Meanwhile, Mischa's ex-boyfriends have come to her defense.
Frequently rehabilitated oil heir Brandon Davis told the New York Post newspaper, "I've been through the same thing and she's a good, strong person, Mischa. I'm sure she'll get through it."
The pair dated during Mischa's days as a starlet on "The O.C".
The stunning stars latest ex, musician Cisco Adler added, "I think she's beautiful and smart."
Mischa has been in hiding since her arrest. She was released on $10,000 bail.
