Drama surrounding Mischa Barton's Las Vegas appearance started long before her DUI arrest.
The starlet was contracted to open the CatHouse nightclub at the Luxor Hotel & Casino but failed to do so because of her new charge.
A representative for CatHouse told E! Online, "Mischa did not show up last night as expected. She still has to honor her contract, and what happens next remains to be seen."
However, the relationship between the new Vegas club and the former "The O.C" star may already be strained. Reports have emerged claiming that Mischa was making outrageous demands before her arrest.
A source told Vegas Confidential, "[The handlers were] difficult...They wanted a bigger jet [sent over for her]. Mischa wanted to bring her dogs."
On top of increasing expenses, Mischa was reported unimpressed with the parties invitation and wanted it changed. The source continued, "[Her reps] wanted the invitation redone because they thought it was too risque for her image."
Despite her declining image as a good girl, Mischa didn't want Paris and Nicky Hilton to attend 'her' party because of their reputations as party girls.
The insider added, "They were blacklisted. Mischa's team didn't want her to be associated with the party-girl scene [right now]."
Despite Mischa being a no-show at the official opening, she will be returning to fulfill her work for the $30,000 pay check.
