Mischa Barton could star in 'Desperate Housewives'. The actress - who left hit teen show 'The O.C.' this year - is rumoured to be in talks with 'Desperate Housewives' creator Marc Cherry about joining the hit series.
Cherry's spokesperson said: "Marc is interviewing and auditioning people all the time. I'm sure Mischa would be a welcome asset to the show - but who knows what will happen?"
Meanwhile, Barton has revealed she can't understand why she isn't more famous in the UK. The 20-year-old actress - who was born in London but moved to New York when she was five - admits she finds it "unbelievable" when people fail to recognise her in Britain.
She said: "I'm so surprised nobody really knows me in England. It's just unbelievable. I have to introduce myself, which I never have to do in the US."
