Michelle Pfeiffer is set to star in a West End show.

The "Stardust" actress is in talk with producers to tread the boards in a London stage production.

A source said, "She's been talking with producers at the Nimax theatre consortium, with a view to doing a stage play in London next year. She feels this would be a great way of expanding her range and reminding people that she is a serious actress."

Michelle would be following in the footsteps of fellow Hollywood stars Nicole Kidman, Kevin Spacey, Kim Cattrall, David Schwimmer and Christian Slater, who have all showcased their talents in the West End.

Last month, Michelle revealed she is set to appear in a remake of "Grease". The "Hairspray" actress, who starred in the 1982 sequel 'Grease 2', has been approached to join the cast for a new version of the original 1978 hit musical and has her heart set on playing an older character.

Michelle, 49, said, "It's a great idea and I hear they would like to get Jessica Simpson for the role of Sandy, she would be good. I would love to play the school principal. She is fun and has some great put-down lines. I think I would like the part now that I have been asked."
