Michelle Williams reportedly avoided the after-party for the premiere of her new film because her ex Heath Ledger was going.
The 27-year-old actress - who plays a character based on famous socialite Edie Sedgwick in "I'm Not There" - was "notably absent" from the bash at New York's Bowery Hotel on Tuesday, while her "scruffy" looking former lover and co-star Heath partied the night away.
A source told the New York Post newspaper, "Michelle was notably absent from the party but Heath was there enjoying himself. Although he was looking a little disheveled and very scruffy."
Heath - who plays one of seven Bob Dylan personas in the movie - was joined at the glitzy party by his co-star Richard Gere and Julianne Moore.
Other guests included "Entourage" star Adrian Grenier, model Agyness Deyn, actor Jason Bateman and director Ang Lee.
Heath, 28, and Michelle - who have a two-year-old daughter, Matilda - announced they were splitting in September.
The pair - who meet on the set of "Brokeback Mountain" in 2004 - are said to have gone their separate ways after struggling to save their "rocky" relationship for the sake of their child.
