The scuttlebutt in Hollywood is that a designer is suing actress Melanie Griffith, saying he turned her from a fashion "Don't" to a fashion "Do" but didn't receive any accolades for what he considers to be a great feat.
In the lawsuit filed in Los Angles Superior Court, Niklas J. Palm claims he reorganized "closets full of Griffith's casual and formal wear; to sort out what is stylish and what is not..."
Niklas goes on to claim that in 2005 Griffith asked him to design a dress for the Golden Globe Awards ceremony. He says he did research on Griffith's past outfits and his findings were, "not at all positive or flattering for Griffith..."
The designer says that Melanie wore a dress that he designed on the red carpet and received rave reviews, but she went back on her word and didn't divulge him as the designer as promised.
He is seeking, among other things, $27,000 in damages.
