MeatLoaf-who is in Britain promoting his upcoming album: "Bat Out Of Hell III"-had his own entire back catalog stolen and all his favorite albums by other artists stolen while he was moving to another home recently. The legendary rocker says he is buying his entire record collection back off eBay.
He told BANG Showbiz, "It was in the back of a removal van. The police arrested the driver for some reason and impounded the truck. While it was there someone broke in and stole my entire back catalog of everything I had done-every single, every album-gone."
Now the "Dead Ringer For Love" singer is trying to replace his collection by trawling the Internet auction site eBay.
"I have managed to get most of it back. It's been expensive and time consuming and they might not be the exact same ones that were taken, but it's a start. It's kind of weird trying to buy back your own stuff too," added the singer.
However, MeatLoaf-whose real name is Marvin Lee Aday-says not everything the thieves took was valuable.
"They also stole a box of hangers. Hangers? What the hell are they going to do with a box of hangers. I won't be trying to buy those back," revealed the rocker.
