McConaughey Ties Sexiness To Confidence

Matthew McConaughey believes confidence plays a big part in his sex symbol status.

The 'Sahara' star is convinced personality and charm are just as important as looks, because beauty is only skin-deep.

He told Entertainment Weekly: "I like sexy people, and I think being yourself is sexy. Being myself and being as good a man as I can be is sexy.

"My face is considered handsome. My body is considered well put together. For me not to appreciate that would be way out of line, but it doesn't mean that I'm not anything else."

McConaughey - who has dated Ashley Judd, Sandra Bullock and Penelope Cruz - was voted the Sexiest Man Alive by People magazine in 2005.
