Rap mogul and "Dancing With The Stars" vet Master P and his brother, rapper Silkk the Shocker, pleaded guilty to weapons charges stemming from their arrests last month for carrying unregistered guns. The brothers faced up to three years in state prison, if convicted.
Master P had the luxury of not actually appearing in court, and was represented there by his lawyer. In exchange for his guilty plea, the felony weapons charge he faced was reduced to a misdemeanor, he was sentenced to one day in jail, a fine of $720 and will serve 40 hours of community service either with Hurricane Katrina relief efforts or speaking to high school students about the danger of guns.
As for his younger brother, his charge was not reduced. Silkk pleaded guilty to the felony and was placed on three years felony probation. He was also ordered to pay the same fine as P and serve the same community service.
