Mary-Kate Olsen has impressed bosses on the set of her latest TV show. The actress - who shot to fame alongside twin sister Ashley at the age of nine months when they played the role of Michelle Tanner in the sitcom 'Full House' - makes a one-off appearance in comedy 'Samantha Who', playing a self-destructive bad girl.

However, she was nothing like her alter-ego when she turned up on set. The show's executive producer Don Todd said: "She showed up alone, ready to work, is great on set and is serious about the job. This is a girl who's been in front of the camera almost literally her entire life. She's smart, and she knows what she's doing."

Mary-Kate recently revealed she finds it difficult to understand fame and finds it "weird" when her picture is taken.

She added: "It's weird to be called a celebrity or talk about it. I don't talk about being a celebrity in my business meetings. I don't talk about it with my friends. It's not a part of my life. It's a media perception of who I am. It's very weird."

"I mean, if I see a paparazzi shot of me walking that's in a magazine or something at some event, it's as if I see it from an outsider's point of view. There's like a character, almost, and then there's me."
