Married life is agreeing with the frequently acid-tongued Elton John.
The singer and his husband, David Furnish, talked about their first year as a legally recognized couple while at the premier for their jointly-produced film "Its A Boy Girl Thing".
The long-time couple married in December 2005 on the day civil unions for homosexuals became legal in the U.K.
For their one year anniversary, John says that they will enjoy some relaxing down time in Italy. "This year has gone so quickly and it has been a great year for us. We feel great and we're going to Venice to celebrate our anniversary and have a very quiet dinner together. We're very happy."
Sir Elton will be one of the headlining performers at the tribute concert in July 2007 for Princess Diana.
The long-time friend of the late Princess says that he is willing to help out behind the scenes as well.
He told People magazine, "I've only just been asked to (be involved) and I've said yes. There might be a role for me doing an embassy bit and linking it all together, which I don't mind doing. It's going to be fun. It's the princes' choice of acts and if I can help them coordinate, because I have proper experience in that, I will."
John performed at Diana's funeral, rewriting his classic "Candle In The Wind".
