Marc Anthony has sent his apologies to David Beckham for not attending his first soccer game for the Los Angeles Galaxy.
The Latino star, who has struck up a friendship with David and his Spice Girl wife Victoria through his own wife Jennifer Lopez, was disappointed he couldn't be at the stadium on Saturday.
He told 'Access Hollywood': "I just want to say, 'Dave, congratulations on your first game. Sorry we couldn't be there.'"
Marc and Jennifer were on a US promotional tour for new movie 'El Cantante' and couldn't get there in time.
The singer-and-actor also revealed he is hoping David and Victoria - who moved to Los Angeles earlier this month with their three sons - will attend the New York premiere of 'El Cantante.'
Marc added: "We are hoping they make it to the premiere in New York. We don't know. They said they would try."
Jennifer recently revealed how she and Victoria bonded over their insecurities.
The 'Monster-in-Law' actress said: "I was talking to Victoria about what makes women beautiful recently. She said, 'People would never guess you're insecure, Are you? Because you know I am.' It was like she had to hear it from me. And I said, 'Yeah. Of course I am.' Then she said, 'But you seem so confident.' But because I'm confident doesn't mean I don't have my moments."
