Maggie Gyllenhaal is like any new mother, excited about a night out on the town.
However, for Gyllenhaal, the night involves being nominated for a best actress Golden Globe Award.
The "Sherrybaby" star says that she is excited about spending a night out after giving birth to her first child, Ramona, in October.
She said, "I know there are people who are cynical about these awards things but I'm actually thrilled to go. I'm excited to pick a dress, I'm excited to get dressed up, get my hair done and go."
The acclaimed actress was nominated for her star making turn in "Secretary," but says she appreciates the attention much more this time around.
She said of her Globes, "I was really kind of a new, new, newbie at the time. I don't have a real strong memory of it 'cause I was just kind of so thrilled. ... It feels like such a different situation this time. It feels like I'm doing it for the first time."
