Madonna's marriage is not heading to divorce, her husband's mother denies the break up rumors surrounding the couple.
Lady Amber Leighton, mother of director Guy Ritchie, said that her son and her pop superstar wife's divorce reports are "absolutely rubbish" and "total tosh."
The Daily Mail has quoted her as saying, "It is absolutely rubbish, worse than that," adding that Ritchie would be furious with her if he found out she talked to the press about their relationship.
She continues, "They are no different to most other couples and we all know that being together can be hard sometimes and marriages are not always a bed of roses. But like other couples they work at keeping their relationship happy and fresh and they are a close and loving couple who have a family to bring up."
Madonna has reportedly asked the aid of top divorce attorney Fiona Shackleton, the same one who represented Sir Paul McCartney in his costly split from Heather Mills. The "4 Minutes" star and the "Revolver" filmmaker are said to be living separate lives and that a formal announcement is forthcoming at the end of November.
But his mom insisted that the rumors have no truth to it and that she has just spoken to her son.
She adds, "There's no conversation about divorce because there's no divorce."
"That is not a couple splitting up. I'll say it one more time, they are not getting divorced; the speculation is TT - that's total tosh."
