Madonna is speaking up about the true status of her marriage and her take on the Britney Spears issue. The newly inducted Rock and Roll Hall of Famer insists that although her relationship with Guy Ritchie isn't a fairytale, it's not on the peril as the media says.
In an interview with "Yo on E!" the "Like A Virgin" singer says of her moviemaker husband, "We still have to take turns. It's not easy. It's also, however, not as the tabloids portray."
"You know how people are. It is ridiculous. I don't pay much attention to it."
The pop superstar also shares her concern for the "Toxic" singer. "They need to step off. For real... Let's go save her."
She also says that her 11-year-old daughter Lourdes is similarly concerned about Spears, who remains her idol since meeting her "back in the day."
Madonna says, "She knows Britney, but doesn't catch all that gossip stuff. So I think she sorta gets the drift of what's going on, and I think she's kind of protective of Britney."
