Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal only had eyes for each other at a party on Sunday night.

The pair, who earlier in the evening watched Rufus Wainwright perform at the Hollywood Bowl, enjoyed an intimate fireside chat at the party thrown in the singer's honor at actress Carrie Fisher's Los Angeles home.

A source said, "Jake and Reese were sitting by the fire all night, talking. Everyone was talking, laughing and celebrating Rufus, but they were deep, deep in conversation. It was like there was no one else in the world."

Other guests at the intimate gathering toasting Rufus' show - a tribute to Judy Garland's 1961 Carnegie Hall concert - included British singer James Blunt and burlesque dancer Dita von Teese.

Jake, 26, and Reese, 31, reportedly attended the music concert with the "Brokeback Mountain" star's director father Stephen Gyllenhaal and his actress godmother Jamie Lee Curtis, adding weight to speculation the pair are getting serious.

The couple - who have refused to confirm they are dating - are said to have grown close while shooting the thriller "Rendition", shortly after Reese split from husband Ryan Phillippe.

Reese and Ryan, 33, have two children together - seven-year-old daughter Ava and three-year-old son Deacon.

The Oscar-winning actress filed for divorce last October after seven years of marriage, citing irreconcilable differences.
