Boy band creator Lou Pearlman is being forced to face the consequences of his scheming actions on U.S. soil. Authorities have said that the 53-year-old, who launched NSYNC and The Backstreet Boys into stardom, is being flown to Los Angeles after leaving Guam and should be expected back in Orlando, Florida in the next couple of weeks to deal with bank fraud charges.
Lou had been detained in Guam for more than a week until authorities were able to secure an arrest warrant on him by the federal court in Orlando. Prior to his arrival in Guam, FBI agents had found the music manager hiding in Bali.
Lou is being accused of securing $20 million loans for himself, while his companies are being accused of writing up financial papers from a fake accounting firm, reports the AP. There are also civil suits pending against him.
Sounds like it's going to be a long and bumpy ride for this one-time, big-time moneymaker. And the outcome doesn't look good.
