Newly single Liv Tyler admits that her breakup with her husband is still hurting her, but candidly says she's welcoming the pain. "The Strangers" star gets up close and personal as she poses on the cover of U.K. Harper's Bazaar magazine's October issue.
In May, Tyler, 31, had announced that she and her Spacehog rocker husband Royston Langdon are separating. They had been married for five years and have one son, 3-year-old Milo William, together.
She told the magazine, "My mother always said that you may fall down and scrape your knees but you brush them off and keep going."
"But for the first time in my life, it's so much harder for me to get up and brush my knees. I am feeling the pain and the loss of everything, and I am trying to just let myself feel it and not make everything OK."
"I think here is a moment where you have to mourn and you have to feel that pain."
She further adds that her marriage's end has not been easy for her, despite her seemingly calm exterior.
Tyler - who celebrates her birthdays during the first of July - says, "I'm a Cancer and sometimes I just feel like a crab without a shell."
The model/actress reveals more in an interview with U.K. Harper's Bazaar magazine in its October issue, out on newsstands soon.
