Liv Tyler knows her singing ability is inherent in her but she just doesn't know how good she is. The actress daughter of Aerosmith rocker Steven Tyler and model singer Bebe Buell says she has longed for years to show her vocal talent but she lacks the courage to showcase it.
The 30-year-old "Armageddon" star had hoped the 2001 hit musical film "Moulin Rouge" would help her shed her shyness in showing off her singing skill. However, Oscar Award-winner Nicole Kidman bagged the role instead.
She says, "I sat on a piano and sang 'Big Spender,' but I didn't get the role."
Tyler also says her being brought up in a musical household had influenced her to tackle the same career as her parents but did not actually pursued it.
She continues, "When I was a little girl, I always wanted to be a singer, but never pursued it. My mom was a singer in a band, as was my dad and my step dad Tood (Rundgren) - I love watching them perform."
"I can sing, but I don't know how good I am."
