Actress Nicole Richie has spent years being photographed and making headlines. Now Richie's new baby, Harlow, is getting in on the act. Richie and Harlow appear on the cover of People Magazine that hits the stands Friday.

Noel Gallagher was turned away at Elton John's party. The Oasis guitarist and songwriter found himself rejected at the 60-year-old's post-Oscars party after he was refused entry by security.

Gallagher turned up at John's party with a small group, according to the Daily Mirror, but was not allowed entrance.

Lionel Richie is still adjusting to being called "granddad". The 'Hello' singer - who became a grandfather for the first time when his daughter Nicole gave birth last Friday - couldn't be prouder of his daughter and her fiance Joel Madden, but is struggling to get used to his new title.

Lionel, who is Nicole's adoptive father, said: "While it may take me a moment to adjust to being called granddad, I am extremely happy and proud of Nicole and Joel."

The couple has named their new arrival Harlow Winter Kate Madden. After the birth, which was believed to be natural, proud dad Joel said: "We are very blessed she's healthy and beautiful and so good already. We are very happy."

"The Simple Life" star - who went to live with singer Lionel Richie when she was two and was legally adopted by him and his then wife Brenda Harvey-Richie when she was nine - wanted to build bridges with her father, percussionist Peter Escovedo, and mother, identified only as a backstage assistant on Lionel's 1980 world tour, when she discovered they were going to be grandparents.
