Lindsay Lohan has expressed her desire to sing for US soldiers, particularly in Iraq and has also sought help from Hillary Clinton in this regard.

Lindsay, 20, told the US edition of Elle magazine: ""I've been trying to go to Iraq with Hillary Clinton for so long. Hillary was trying to work it out, but it seemed too dangerous."

The "Just My Luck" singer confessed that she wants to do what "Marilyn Monroe did when she went and just set up a stage and did a concert for the troops all by herself." If she does fly to the war zone, Lindsay says she'll be happy to defend herself.

She insisted, "I'm not afraid of going" The singer also has plans to take shooting lessons from her security guard. The actress and singer was reportedly dropped some time back by her record label in Britain after she failed to visit the UK to promote her album.
