Lindsay Lohan explains her tantrum at a party. The "Mean Girls" actress reportedly threw a fit after she saw Paris Hilton's name on the backdrop at the Scandinavian Style Mansion event that she hosted Friday.
The 21-year-old actress/singer, who replaced Britney Spears as the host of the event, was surprised to see the heiress' name on the red carpet backdrop. It turned out Hilton was debuting her new line of handbags at the party; therefore, it was also a promotional event for her.
It has been claimed that Lohan hid inside the kitchen and delivered an outburst. Sources say she refused to work until they remove "The Simple Life" star's name on the red carpet. They eventually did and she fulfilled her contractual obligation.
Leslie Sloan, Lohan's rep, explains to E! News the actress' behavior that evening. She says, "We were never told that Paris was part of the event. Nor did we know there was a liquor sponsor. She wouldn't have participated."
Sloan adds that they were informed that only two press from Scandinavian magazines would be present but instead, reporters and camera crew from a gossip website were also there.
