Lindsay Lohan walked out of the Cirque Lodge drug and alcohol treatment center in Utah last Friday, ready to face past mistakes and move on with her life.

The 21 year-old "Georgia Rule" actress has been in and out of rehab three different times since last January and had been putting time in at Cirque since she entered the program in August.

"I'm proud of her. She's moving ahead with her life," her mother, Dina, told People magazine on Friday. "Things were getting out of control. She took action. She took responsibility. She really needed to heal."

This has been a very busy year for Lohan, who was arrested twice for vehicle related incidents where cocaine was found in her possession. In August, she reached a plea deal on her misdemeanor charges calling for her to enter a treatment facility, spend a day in jail, and perform community service.

As Lohan prepares to re-enter the spotlight and face the damage that has been done to her career, she continues to have the support of her parents who seem to be sharing in the tabloid attention.

"Now that she is going out into the world, I can only hope for the best," said father Michael Lohan in a statement to People magazine.
