Leona Lewis' "Bleeding Love" is milking money from movie studios. "The X Factor" champion's U.S. hit single is at the center of tug of war between Hollywood studios wanting to turn it into a major movie theme.
Studio companies have reportedly offered Lewis, 22, staggering amounts for three of her songs, with "Bleeding Love" as the main attraction.
A source says, "A number of huge offers are on the table for Leona's songs. The bids for Bleeding Love are staggering. They're into seven figures."
"The offers are for major blockbusters - some just around the corner. It could turn the song into the biggest hit this decade - like a new 'I Will Always Love You.'"
Lewis has been described as the next Whitney Houston and studio execs want to turn her hit song into a movie theme just like Houston's hit in the film "The Bodyguard."
The source adds, "It is unusual for a film company to spend a lot of money on a song unless it has been recorded specifically for the film. But because the song is such a huge worldwide hit - and so perfect for a big movie - they are prepared to make an exception."
