Britney Spears better make a New Years resolution to show up in court.
The fallen pop star will not escape questioning by Kevin Federline's lawyer and will be expected to attend legal proceedings in early 2008.
Kevin's lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan told PEOPLE, "Britney Spears will have her deposition early this year. We've got a lot to talk about."
The custody lawyer, who has so far succeeded in granting Kevin primary custody of the former couples two children, continued, "Kevin isn't interested, nor am I, in punishing her. We just want to get information necessary to proceed further. I hoping remedies which include continuing hearings are all theoretical."
Britney missed the last deposition, claiming that she was ill. Her camp told the media that the "Toxic" singer had been suffering from acute anxiety due to the hoards of paparazzi photographers outside her house. However, later in the evening, Britney cruised the streets of L.A. and played up for the paps.
Mark said, "She was, in fact, out later that day and night. It's not fourth grade where you get a doctor's note and it's all okay."
Kevin's legal representative confirmed that Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1, spent Christmas with their father and half-siblings.
He said, "It was a good Christmas for all. They were great. Kevin had all of his kids and it was a big, wonderful family setting. He was really happy, and the kids were happy."
Kevin has two older children with ex-girlfriend Shar Jackson.
