There are two rising L.A. stars who have sex tapes to thank for the name becoming known around the world. Lauren Conrad and Kim Kardashian are the latest victims, or stars, depending on how you look at it.
"LC," as she was dubbed during her days on the MTV teen reality show "Laguna Beach," has starred in another show with her on-screen boyfriend, Jason Wahler, this one for a more adult audience.
Reportedly there is a sex tape of the young couple, both just out of their teens, about to circulate the Internet. Wahler is reportedly hoping to make some money off his performance before he is inevitable put in jail after three arrests in a matter of months.
A source told Perezhilton.com exclusively, "Jason is trying to sell the video before he goes to jail."
LC, however, is desperate to keep her good girl image intact. She said to Us Weekly magazine, "My friend started reading the item to me, and I literally could not breathe. I thought she was joking when she started telling me... There is no sex tape that exists."
Kim, meanwhile, has embraced her new ound porn star status much like her BFF Paris did. Deciding not to cover up the indiscretion, the socialite is going to profit from it.
Vivid co-chairman, Steven Hirsch, a porn producer who is distributing the film, confirmed last month that Kim was in on the deal but a price hasn't been settled.
He said, "I met with Kim on Wednesday and unfortunately, we didn't even come close to reaching an agreement. We will now immediately move forward with the release. We still remain open to any further discussion with Kim as we would like her to benefit from sales of the DVD."
In a weird twist, Kim and LC are loosely connected to each other beyond their love of hitting up Hollywood hotspots. Kim, the daughter of O.J Simpson's lawyer Robert Kardashian, is the step daughter of Bruce Jenner, dad of Brody Jenner who dated LC.
