| Britney Spears is forfeiting a night out on New Year's Eve to look after her children. The pop star is set to stay home on December 31 with sons Sean Preston, three, and Jayden James, two, while their father Kevin Federline - who has sole custody of the children - parties with new girlfriend Victoria Prince in Las Vegas. A source close to Britney and her ex-husband Kevin told Britain's Daily Star newspaper: "Kevin has been getting on much better with Britney recently, so he didn't want to risk setting their relationship back by mentioning Victoria." |

| Madonna is reportedly having a fling with a Brazilian male model. The "4 Minutes" singer met Jesus Luz in Rio de Janeiro while on a shoot for American magazine W, and the pair became so close she invited him to join her on the Sao Paolo leg of her "Sticky and Sweet" world tour. A source told the New York Post newspaper: "She was very interested in him. He's there with her now and photographer Steven Klein is helping him get along with everyone." |

The "All I Want for Christmas" singer, who is married to rapper Nick Cannon, can't wait to celebrate the holiday season by donning skimpy red swimwear while braving the freezing temperatures. Mariah said: "We go in the hot tub in our Christmas bikinis, then roll in the fresh snow and jump back in the tub. I usually wear a red bikini with a Santa hat." |

| Matthew McConaughey was rescued by an 82-year-old Mexican woman after his truck broke down. The "Fool's Gold" star was traveling with close friend Gus on the 14-day road trip to Baja California when the pair's vehicle ground to a halt. Matthew - who has a five-month-old son Levi with girlfriend Camila Alves - said: "We broke down in the middle of the desert while on that trip, in a place where we hadn't seen nor heard another human for three days. I had to jog down a dirt road for a couple of hours in hope of finding a trace of anyone." |

The 50-year-old pop superstar - who has previously been photographed looking frail in a wheelchair - is said to be battling inherited condition A1AD (alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency) which leaves sufferers without a protein needed to protect the lungs. If I was going to adopt, it would probably be from there." |
