Phil Spector was accused in court of carrying out a sexually motivated murder on Wednesday.

Los Angeles Sheriff's Detective Mark Lillienfeld testified that when he first arrived at the music producer's Los Angeles mansion on February 3, 2003, to investigate Lana Clarkson's death he immediately thought her killing "had sexual overtones to it."

The actress Phil Spector is accused of shooting dead was in fact murdered, a court was told on Tuesday.

Deputy coroner Dr. Louis Pena, who performed the autopsy on Lana Clarkson's body, testified that somebody forced a .38 calibre Colt Cobra revolver into the 40-year-old's mouth at the music producer's Los Angeles mansion on February 3, 2003.

On the first day of Spector's murder trial over the shooting of actress Lana Clarkson in February 2003, the court heard the defendant had told driver Adriano DeSouza "I think I killed somebody" shortly after DeSouza heard a gunshot from inside Spector's mansion.
