| "Transformers" director Michael Bay rejected on Monday claims that he had an altercation with the late actress Lana Clarkson at a Hollywood Hills party in January 2003, which defense says probably added to her suicidal tendency. The B-list actress was found dead of a gun shot wound to her mouth at Phil Spector's mansion just a few days after the party. The 42-year-old director said he did not see the 6-foot blonde that day and that there is no question of an unpleasant encounter with her as claimed by a defense witness. | | | | The B-actress Phil Spector is accused of shooting dead, committed suicide, a court was told on Wednesday. A forensic expert testified that Lana Clarkson, 40, probably committed suicide at the defendant's mansion in February 2003 and that the homicide opinion made by the LA County deputy medical examiner was "hasty." Dr. Werner Spitz complied with the previous forensic finding that Clarkson died of a gunshot wound inside her mouth, but said that concluding the death as a homicide was a hasty opinion. | | | | Phil Spector was standing two feet away from the woman he is accused of murdering when she was shot dead, a court heard on Thursday. Sheriff's Department criminologist Lynn Herold testified blood spattered on the producer's white jacket suggested he was standing to the right of Lana Clarkson with his arms raised when the gun went off at his Los Angeles mansion on February 3, 2003. | | | | Phil Spector's murder trial jury were shown graphic and gory images of his alleged victim's bloodied corpse on Tuesday. Sheriff's criminologist Lynn Herold talked the court through Lana Clarkson's injuries as disturbing images of the actress' face, some showing blood oozing from her mouth and nose, were presented. The 40-year-old woman died of a single gunshot to the mouth at Spector's Los Angeles mansion on February 3, 2003. | | | | Phil Spector's blood was not found on the gun used to kill the actress he is accused of murdering, a court has heard. Forensic expert Steve Renteria testified only Lana Clarkson's DNA was discovered on the .38-caliber revolver found at her feet at the music producer's Los Angeles mansion on February 3, 2003. A large smear of blood on a staircase banister next to where Clarkson's body was found slumped in a chair also only showed her DNA. | |
