Kylie Minogue has admitted she may never settle down and have a family.

The 'Wow' singer, who turns 40 next month, wants to fall in love again but insists she will be happy if she doesn't get married.

She said: "I never had the feeling I was made for a conventional marriage with a house in the suburbs."

"There are artists such as Debbie Harry or Dolly Parton who have managed to have an unbelievable career without a family."

"Above everything else, it comes down to how much love you have in you and if you are ready to give that love. How things will turn out for me with regards to family I simply can't yet say."

Kylie also revealed she is planning to celebrate her landmark birthday on May 28 with a low-key party.

She added to Germany's Vogue magazine: "For me it's no big deal. I've not planned anything spectacular."

"I will celebrate with a small circle of friends and the next day will appear at my next concert."

The Australian beauty has promised fans will see a change in her image when she embarks on her 'KylieX2008' tour this summer.

She said: "The showgirl and feathers are behind me. Jean Paul Gaultier sketched all my costumes for the tour - all couture."
