Kylie Minogue has been vacationing in Chili with a friend, but in true tabloid fashion, they have been linked as lovers.
The Australian pop princess is currently traveling around South America with her friend, director Alexander Dahm, a Mexican film director.
The pair met when Alexander shot the photographs for Kylie's H And M swimwear collection.
While on the surface it might appear that there is a possibility of a romance, the truth is that Alexander is a happily married man with an eight-month pregnant wife in Mexico. He and Kylie are just friends.
Laura Dahm defended her husband and marriage, saying, "It's ridiculous to think there is some sort of affair going on. They're only friends and I'm not worried. To us in Mexico, Kylie isn't even a big celebrity, people don't even know who she is. It's actually funny to think her and Alexander could be involved in a romance. He doesn't have any other celebrity friends, but they have struck up a friendship. It may be that she is there more as a tourist but Alexander is there for work."
The London-based singer confirmed her single status, saying, "I am in Chile for pleasure, to get to know the country and to visit my friend."
However, Kylie's ex-boyfriend is no longer single. Olivier Martinez has stepped out with his new flame, Spanish star Goya Toledo, in Los Angeles.
A source who witnessed the new couple on a date said, "The pair were having an intimate outdoor lunch date, holding hands and laughing and joking."
Kylie and Olivier broke up at the beginning of the year after months of infidelity reports.
