Courtney Love is advertising for a new housekeeper on MySpace. The former Hole singer has grown so tired of orthodox agencies, she is resorting to the unconventional method to find a "non-freaky, non-thieving" employee.

Posting on her blog, she wrote: "I know this is weird but the agencies suck and I'm sick of pigs who steal. It's as simple as that, so f**k it - why not try MySpace?"

Courtney Love spent $300,000 on her daughter's birthday party. The Hole singer - who is the widow of the late Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain - spared no expense in ushering Frances Bean into adulthood at her "RIP childhood" themed 16th birthday.

The event - held at Los Angeles' House of Blues restaurant - saw Frances sporting a dress previously worn by her father Cobain at a performance at Reading Festival.

The former Hole singer has been seeing the TV weight-loss guru - who wrote bestselling self-help bible I Can Make You Thin - since piling on the pounds after quitting drugs.

She told friends: "I've known Paul for years. I lost weight last year the old-fashioned way by dieting and living off protein shakes. But it was hard to stay disciplined."

Courtney Love has branded ex-lover Steve Coogan "mean" and "sociopathic." The singer, who briefly dated the British comedian in 2005, says Coogan left her in a "dark" place.

Also making reference to her late husband Kurt Cobain - who committed suicide in 1994 - Courtney posted on her MySpace blog: "The only real 'feud' I ever had was with Mr. Self Destruct back in the 90s and he started it. I just had a far better bon mot than him, which happened.

Courtney Love has been sued for allegedly duping a business management and accounting firm over a percentage of Nirvana's publishing rights.

Love, widow of Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain, purportedly failed to give London & Co. their share of $975,000 from the proceeds of the band's publishing rights, which was sold for $19.5 million. They claim that Love made an oral agreement with them in which she promised to give them 5% of her earnings.

News of the World reports that the Hole singer's pink teddy-bear-shaped bag where she keeps the Nirvana icon's ashes along with a lock of his hair has been missing since a couple of weeks ago. Clothes and jewelry were also said to be taken away from her Hollywood abode.
