Kim Cattrall says her heart "flutters" every time she sees her 'Sex and the City' co-stars.

The actress - who was reunited with main actresses Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis for the movie version of the hit TV series - loves meeting up with the girls at every opportunity now that filming is finished.

She said: "It's like champagne. It's intoxicating. My heart flutters a little bit."

Parker also explained the four stars rarely get to see each other and get carried away when they do.

She said: "When we were on the film set, we eventually got used to seeing each other, so we didn't scream as much."

The women met up on Monday night to celebrate Nixon being honored with a Point Courage Award at a special benefit evening in New York. The Point Foundation offers scholarships to gay, lesbian and transgender youths.

Speaking about her accolade, Nixon - who attended the event with her partner Christine Marinoni - said: "It's nice when someone thinks that the way you're living is nice enough that you should receive an award for it."
