Michael Jackson has been nominated for five American Music Awards.

The pop legend - who died on June 25 - is in the running to be named Artist of the Year at the prestigious event and will be up against Taylor Swift, Eminem, Kings of Leon and Lady Gaga.

Celebrities are often known for their partying and 4th of July weekend is no different. The Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas saw its' fair share of celebrities out enjoying the weekend.

"Smashtime Saturday" had guest MC Hammer and Mista Fab hanging out. Fab performed his song "Ghost Ride It" while MC Hammer danced and hung out in the hotspot until 2:30 am.

P. Diddy reportedly threw a "hissy fit" because he didn't like his all-white themed birthday party.

The rapper - who turned 39 last Tuesday - splashed out on a lavish bash at New York's Mansion nightclub later in the week but insisted the decor was scrapped at the last minute after the all-white room - designed in just 12 hours - failed to meet his expectations.
