Despite being know for his very mum "Silent Bob" character, at home, it's quite a different story. It seems like Kevin Smith has a foul-mouthed family and doesn't seem to mind it one bit. The actor recently revealed he has been teaching his seven-year-old daughter to swear.
The "Clerks II" filmmaker - who also stars in his movies as the character Silent Bob - insists it is important daughter Harley Quinn learns these words when she is young so she will be able to come out with a string of expletives as an adult.
He told BANG Showbiz, "I'm already teaching her to curse because if she learns to do it well she can make a good living out of it. My wife, Jennifer, and I won't really watch what we say around her. The first words she picked up at three were s*** and bulls***. She quickly stopped it when I told her what s*** meant, that it meant poop. She was like, 'Ew!'"
Kevin added, "I'm not one of those people who says, 'I don't want my kid to see my movies until she's 30 because they're full of curses.' The bad language just washes over her. She doesn't know what a c***-smoker is."
Despite his relaxed views on swearing, Smith doesn't think his close friend and new dad Ben Affleck will be copying his unorthodox parenting style.
He confessed, "I don't think Ben would conduct himself around his kid as I do around mine. He's a way classier dude than I am."
